Exploits-(Intro) 6-30-06 This Guide is meant as a start up kit for Titan Quest. The guide isdesigned for a Warrior/Offensive Mage character. This is for a tank characterthat runs head on into fights and relies on might over magic. This characteris warrior melee, ranged weapons are not discussed.
This guide was created by [email protected] as a private user, I am notaffiliated with THQ or Iron Lore in anyway shape or form. This guide wascreated for IGN.COM for free reading and I am making no money off it. This guide however is my creation and property, other guide makers canuse it with my permission; just give me a name credit in your guide.-Section (1)Suggested class: Warrior (WARFARE Offensive Mastery)Pros: Boosted Strength means more hit points, access to betterweapons and armor.
(More Damage output and more Protection) The majority of monsters come directly up to you and slug itout, rather than using ranged. 1 on 1 you will be able to handle most normal monsters withminimal health loss. All through the game you have to fight mobs, this is when youget hit, so you will enjoy those extra hit points.Cons: Energy pool is very weak. Constant Higher Strength requirements to get a betterweapons/armor. Reliance on energy potions. Armor tends to not have much magical resistance/protection.Warrior Tips: War Horn: The Horn is one of the BEST skills early. Stun mobs of Satyrswhen you are low levels and you really do need an extra few seconds to takethem out.
Later on when semi-powerful mobs attack, spam the horn to keep yourself alive. The Horn even works on bosses, buying you even 1 second to get ina few hits, and that's 1 second your not getting walloped either. Dual Wield: Once you start fighting mobs your going need to kill monstersas quick as you can. When you're surrounded by 5 monsters a shield isn'tgoing to save you.
You need both hands to bash away. War Wind: Best Weapon against mobs. Let 4-5 monsters crowd you and thendo the spin attack. Low level monsters get killed and then follow up with theWar horn to stun whoever survived and then get in a few free shots, and asalways keep the damage off you for a second.Remember - War wind 1st, thenStun 2nd. War wind works great on skeleton mobs. Onslaught: It isn't the greatest thing in the world, but any extra damageadded to an attack helps. Assign it to the left mouse key as your primaryattack.
If you run out of energy you default to the primary attack, so you cankeep the attack button pressed. It is also suggested that you use the WindWar/Horn Stun combo 1st to guarantee you have energy for it, and then useonslaught until the enemy is dead or Potions: Early in the game it might seem like you don't need them, butget past the 1st town and let 20 skeletons attack at once, or fight the Satyrbrute, and then you will realize their true value. Suggested carrying rate is30 Health potions and 20 energy potions.
(Getting the pouch attachment helps alot). Don't be afraid to Spam potions, it'll save your life. Consider Re-binding the health/energy potion keys to something closer than (9, 0) such asA, S or Q, W or Z, X Clubs/Axes over Swords: For some reason THQ seemed to make clubs and axesmuch more powerful than swords. There is NO blade vs. Blunt skill so you don'have to worry about being forced into using one weapon type.
Once you get apowerful club/axe don't even bother looking at swords and knives in shops theywill NEVER stack up. There is no encumbrance limit on your character soheavier weapons aren't weighing you down, they just swing a little slower. Spell casters priority: Spell casters are going to give you trouble atranged distance, when you notice your hit points flying off, target the casterand make him the number 1 target.
Run right up to him and exploit his weaknessto melee. If a mob follows you use the war wind/stun combo. Assign Mouse Buttons: The manual is a little vague as how to do this sohere it goes: To assign Skills/Potions to the mouse buttons look for the 2boxes in the bottom middle of the screen, click on the Left or Right box withthe mouse button and then choose what you want from the list. Isolate Enemies: Lure a monster or 2 away from the mob and mash them 1 on1, the Ai isn't great and monsters will often ignore a 20 man battle rightnext to them. If there is a mini-boss around always try to lure the underlingsto fight first.

Stand your Ground: For the most part, stand still while fighting mobs. You can't dance around 5 guys swinging melee weapons and 5 more shootingranged at you. You want enemies to get close for the War Wind/Stun combo. Forboss fights, stick and move.
Also, when you stand your ground you are lesslikely to agro other near by mobs or loose units Run! Don't Die!: Don't be afraid to run away if the fight goes bad.Running also lures a few monsters from the mob, so you can sneak in a kill, and continue running, or charge back at the mob after you knocked off a fewloose stragglers.
If you are quick enough open a portal and zap your way outof there, and teleport back in when your ready or have better equipment. Thereis no Quick load feature, so if you die, you get the penalty and shutting thepower off on the computer really isn't worth it. Skill point Allotment: Don't go crazy dumping points on low level skills;try to put 1 point into each skill so the tree will continue upwards. Focus ongetting your overall skill higher to get to the more powerful skills Forexample; don't dump 3 points into 'Battle Standard' Weapons & Armor: With new zones, come new monsters - and with newmonsters come new armor. Don't go crazy spending all your money on a 10,000piece of armor when you will get better amour from a Centaur or Chittin armorfrom an Arachnoid. The better weapons will come from shops.
